Mezcal Old Fashioned Recipe
This Old Fashioned variation is made with mezcal tequila and mole bitters. Combine Mezcal Angostura bitters Orange bitters and simple syrup in a tall glass.

One of the earliest recipes written in 1895 specifies the following.
Mezcal old fashioned recipe. Ingredients ¼ ounce simple syrup 2 dashes bitters such as Angostura or more to taste 1 cup ice cubes 1 3 inch piece orange peel 1 ounce mezcal 1 ounce anejo aged tequila 1 Luxardo cherry optional. Stir until most of the sugar is dissolved. Grab a smaller fancier glass and add ice.
